The National Gallery, London

The National Gallery, London

I have been to London already quite often and each time I was there I wanted to visit the National Gallery at Trafalgar Square. However, I never really made it, until some days ago.
I truly love paintings from the past centuries and therefore, the National Gallery is the perfect place! You find masterpieces from Western European painters from the 13th century to the 19th century. But not only the art work impressed me in this Gallery, also the different colourful rooms where the paintings are. When I entered a new hall I mostly sat down for some minutes to take the impressions in. The premises give the Museum a special atmosphere.
The only thing I was disturbed by was the noise. It was totally overcrowded and sometimes I had the impression that some tourists use the Gallery just for having a break or for playing with their mobiles. But the deeper you get into the museum the less crowded it is.
I spent hours in the Gallery not only watching the art work and architecture also watching the people in the museum. Please don’t think I am a psycho but I like to see the facial impression of the humans when looking at those amazing paintings. I caught it in some pictures for you. I hope you like them!

Love,
Theresa
